There are a variety of bubble bath soaps that are on the market today. Some are good, some are bad, some are expensive and some are reasonably priced. However, if you feel a bit overwhelmed by all the options out there then you should consider making your own bubble bath. You can also give fun bubble bath soaps to friends and family as special gifts.

The ingredients that are contained in bubble bath soaps are not that hard to find in grocery stores or health food stores. You can also look online and find all the ingredients you will need. Overall the ingredients are relatively reasonably priced.

There are many great benefits to making your own bubble bath. One of the main benefits is that you always know what is contained inside the bottle. For example, if you are allergic to anything you can be assured that it will not be in your bubble bath soap. In addition you will know that all the ingredients that are used are fresh and natural. You don’t need to worry whether your product was tested on animals, whether it is environmentally conscious or if it has been sitting on the shelf for two years. You made it so you know everything about it.

Making your own bubble bath soap means spending time finding the right essential oils to use. The oils add scent to your bubble bath and is the reason for choosing a particular scent. These are very concentrated oils so only a few drops are necessary. Chamomile, lavender, rosewood, myrhh, marjoram and frankincense tend to be the most popular. These are calming oils which will help to relax. Peppermint, spearmint, eucalyptus and lemon oils are energizing. More information can be found online from the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy.

When making your own bubble bath will also need something that will soften your skin. Consider using almond oil and coconut oil. Both will soften and moisturize your skin. Almond oil is more versatile as it is unscented. You will be able to use any essential oil without fear of changing the aroma. Coconut oil, on the other hand, is naturally scented with a nutty and floral smell.

After you have made your bubble bath be sure to store it in a non breakable container. You are able to store your bubble baths for quite a while. Be sure to make extra so you can give it to your friends and family as a gift. You can buy really great plastic containers at your local art store that come in a variety of shapes, colors and decorations.
