Filters for Air Cleaning - Breathe Pure AIr

by Marsha Raven

Air cleaner filters are common devices used to clean and purify the air. They are commonly used to where there is need to recycle air. Their most popular use includes the removal of solid particles from the air so as to purify and clean the air. Air filters can clean the air of harmful microbes and bacteria as well as pollen mould and dust leaving the air cleaner and fresher.

Gas turbine engines especially need air cleaner filters as cleaner air makes them significantly more efficient.

Air filters use a number of methods to clean harmful particles from the air. A very common method involves the use of fiber elements which are in the air filter as filters. Particles and dust stick to the fiber and thus only cleaner air is discharged.

Other more complex techniques still exists like the use of static electricity. With this method a static electric charge is used to attract the particles and dust in the air. With such harmful particles removed clean air is discharged. Oil bath filters was also popular in the past before improved air filter technology phased them out.

Over the years major advances in fluid science has brought about major improvements in air cleaner filter technology. They come in very useful in air conditions and gas turbines, helping to improve human health. Cotton filters and paper foam filters are popular components of air filters. To ensure optimum performance of these type of air filters they should be cleaned at regular intervals and changed when due.

Air filters can be grouped as either class one or class two air filters. The classification is done based on their flammability. Class one air filters produce a negligible small amount of smoke when burnt. They do not become fuel when they come in contact with flame. Class two filters are the exact opposite as they readily become fuel when in contact with flame. While they burn they produce significant amount of smoke. A lot of research is still being done into the flammability of air filters.

Air filters come in various shapes and sizes to match the flow area of air. They are prone to get clogged with dirt from the air and so they should be cleaned or changed regularly. Clogging of air filters causes impure air and reduces the free flow of air along the passages.

For an engine this could mean serious drop in the performance of the engine. The size of the air filter also depends on the passage of air. There are different applications of the air filters but the most common application would be in internal combustion engines, gas turbines and air conditioners for both cars and rooms.

Paper is one of the most common materials that are used for air cleaner filters in automobiles. This is mainly because they are cost effective as well as efficient. Also these are easily replaceable. Oil wetted foam elements are also known to be used as air filters in automobiles. Foam was a known choice for air cleaners in many applications before the improvement in air cleaning technology.

by James Smith

It does not matter how many Christmas decorations you and your family have accumulated over the years, it never seems to be enough. Even when times are tight most families will still spend some on new decorations.

Going online in the summer months to find some great bargains on Christmas decorations is a great idea. Most people think of after Christmas sales, but summer time is also a great time to buy.

In the summer when you are on vacation one favorite past times is to go shopping at little boutique shops. Some of these shops may be trying to clear out last years inventory at a deep discount and displaying some Christmas decorations for sale. You can also try to negotiate a lower price with the store owner or manager.

Yard sales are also a great place to find bargains on Christmas decorations. These can be found anytime of year as people clean out their garages and basements.

Finding several different Christmas decorations from lots of families can also be done at swap meets, which are similar to yard sales just with several sellers in one location.

Going online to find great deals on Christmas decorations is another good idea. Finding niche websites that sale only Christmas items may have special sales in the summer when traffic is slower.

Online auctions will give you the opportunities to buy items that may otherwise be found at yard sales but from people who do not live near you. You can find some great bargains this way but be careful you do not have to pay too much for shipping charges.

What is Life Path Unlimited? Read This Full Review

July 26, 2008 on 3:52 pm | In Home | No Comments
by Joe Marquez

If you’ve been doing some research on potential home based businesses and Lifepath Unlimited has come across your radar, I’d like to help you review the business by pointing out a few things and helping help you understand their products and compensation plan.

First off, Lifepath Unlimited is practically a recreation of another opportunity called Liberty League International. They both promote self development products, somewhat similar compensation plans and are structured almost identically. The reason for this is most likely because the founder of Lifepath Unlimited, Joe Neid, was the CEO of Liberty League International. However, after problems with the better business bureau Liberty League fell off the map and lost a lot of its credibility. You’ll still find people marketing it but Lifepath is somewhat of a newer version.

Lifepath Unlimited’s products fall into the self development market. They offer only 3 products, two of which are conferences held in exotic locations, and the other is a self development program. The conferences are known as Breakthrough and Destiny, while the other is called the Discovery Series Home Study Course. In order to earn commissions on the sales of any of these products, a couple things need to happen. First, you need to become a Lifepath Unlimited Member of course and that costs $49. Then, to make money on each product you must either purchase it for yourself, or refer 5 sales of that product to your upline, meaning you wouldn’t earn a profit from that product until your 6th sale and on.

The prices are as follows : -Discovery Home Series Study Course: Retails for $1,695. Associate keeps $1,000 of the sale. -Break Through Event: Retails for $8,995. Associate keeps $5,000 of the sale -Destiny Event: Retails for $14,995. Associate keeps $9,000 of the sale.

Now there’s several ways in which you can earn these commissions. Depending on whether or not the people who are on your team are qualified to sell the product, it is possible for you to earn commissions on sales made by those who are on your team. People are considered on your team if they have joined Life Path Unlimited through you. You can view a detailed description of their compensation plan at: www.aboutlifepath.com/compplan.pdf

As you can, see their products range from semi expensive to incredibly expensive, especially for the type of products that they are. Typically, everything begins with the Discovery Series home study course. It is an 8 cd and DVD set that is used alongside a 56 day online study course.

The Breakthrough Event is a 4 day event meant for two people. It’s an extension of the Discovery Series and further elaborates on the principles taught in the program. It includes presentations from motivational speakers and such.

The Destiny Event, similar to the Breakthrough Event, is another conference but lasts an extra day. It has a similar agenda to the Destiny Event but with different speakers of course. It is also meant for two guests.

If you want to earn commission as quickly as possible and not have to pass up any sales, you would have to purchase each product for yourself. That totals over $25,000, which is more than MOST other online businesses. On top of that, buying these products doesn’t earn you any money at all with your business.

If you’re looking at Lifepath Unlimited as a potential business venture that can make you money, the products have very little to do with your success. Your success is dependent on how well you can market the opportunity and find people who WANT self development products. It wouldn’t make sense to join if the products aren’t important to you. If you’re intentions are to replace your current job with an online business, it would be more beneficial to find a business that will teach you to market online and how to turn the internet into a cash cow.

The type of business I’m talking about is one like the Wealth Funnel System by Derrick Harper. Like Lifepath unlimited, it allows you to sell a product and earn commissions, but it doesn’t have any pass ups or require you to buy products you don’t need. The creator, Derrick Harper, is an internet marketing professional and he has been making money online for over ten years. He has worked with some very big companies like MTV, CMT, Pfizer, Weber Grills, Johnson and Johnson, and more. He made the Wealth Funnel System to help people learn to the basics and fundamentals of running an online business.

It may or may not be as good as Lifepath Unlimited, but that is up for you to decide. Either way, I hope this article helps answer any questions you may have had about the Lifepath Unlimited business.

Wishing you the best, Joe Marquez

Birding Tips For Better Wild Bird Watching

Watching Birds is Great Fun!

Watching birds is fun because birds are fun and it enables you to get outdoors, out of town and see wild birds that you would not see in your yard. Just seeing birds doing what they do everyday is an exiting hobby for anyone who likes to see birds at the bird feeders and bird houses in their yard.

Bird watching has become a very popular past time and this is set to increase. More of us find that we have more leisure time available and are keen to participate. We also appreciate that taking an interest in nature is one of the best ways to get started on a path to help protect the environment and the habitat that birds require to succeed.

Before going off on their first birding trips new birders should learn some of the basics for successful bird watching to avoid the potential for disappointment. Having a bird feeder or bird house in the back yard is a great idea, but to see more birds you need to visit their local habitat to find them.

Make An Early Start!

If you are really keen and want the best chance of seeing the largest number of birds then you need to get out their early. Wherever you are going to watch birds, whether in your yard, on the coast, in local woodland or a park or other open space, you will definitely see a lot more birds if you are there early in the morning.

After a good rest you will need to be prepared to get up very early and be on location at dawn. This will ensure you get to the right place before the birds become active and your arrival will not disturb them. The couple of hours or so after dawn are the busiest time for birds and you will surprised at how many you see. If you arrive late you will see less birds.

Wear Subtle and Darker Colors!

When out bird watching make sure that you do not wear bright colored clothes as this will make it much easy for the birds to see you and any movement you make could scare them away even before you see them.

As a birder you should try and wear clothing that has a more natural and darker color that fits in with the area and foliage where you will be bird watching.

You need to blend into the scenery so that the birds are less aware of your presence and will not notice you when you move quite so easily. Full combat camouflage gear is not necessary but if you are really serious and want to get closer to some elusive bird then this might be what you have to do.

Do Not Talk And Tread Quietly

Noise is probably the major reason for failing to see many birds so be quiet. Talking with friends and other birders will mean birds will be scared away before you see them and also you will not hear any sounds that the birds make so you will not even know that they are nearby.

Always communicate with others very quietly and whisper if necessary and when closer to the birds use hand signals to indication the location of the birds, but do not raise you arm to point out the birds as they will easily see this and be off!

To ensure that the birds do not see your silhouette you should locate yourself behind something big such as a bush or tree trunk because if they detect movement the birds will probably leave the area.

Always Make Sure You Stay On the Trail

You will avoid disturbing the birds by staying on the trail and by not trying to go through the undergrowth. Also you should never try to flush out a bird or chase them in any way as this could put stress on the birds you are trying to see and force them to flee.

The best approach is to get yourself into a good position and let the birds come to you. This requires more patience but it is an approach that definitely works and you will see many more birds this way.

Never approach too close to a bird and never go near a birds nest during the breeding season but just leave them in peace to get on with their nesting.

Binoculars Or A Scope Are Essential

It is easy and safer to see birds from a distance and this is why you should invest in a good pair of binoculars and as you get more serious about watching birds you might also want to buy a spotting scope to get the closest views of birds possible.

Bird watching is an enjoyable pastime for any nature lover. Birding can be inexpensive and at some times challenging but above all it is always enjoyable and fun.

Becoming a birder is easy to do and just by placing a nesting bird house and bird feeders in your back yard you will be able to get enjoyment from watching the birds.

Enjoy Bird Watching!

Go birding and watch more birds.

Forex Trading Strategies

by Ray Lam

With the popularity of forex trading since middle of year 2004 when it even overtook the interest in futures and commodities trading, we have seen a lot of forex trading systems being developed. As new technology evolved, we have also seen the power of the desktop computer being harnessed for running trading platforms involving all sorts of forex trading systems instead of using computer mainframes.

The usual way most traders would want to test their forex trading systems is to use a forex strategy builder and back test on historical data, and then to discover what parameters in that trading strategy are important to the results, and to forward test again on past historical data to check the results.

If in case you are using some body else’s forex strategy, a most of us are, organize this strategy with no change until you fully and totally recognize all aspect of the strategy through back-testing and as well with some real life experience. Don’t fall into entrap of jumping from one strategy to strategy or mixing different strategies when the one you are using does not lead to instant success. This is only a guideline for disaster.

The Moving Average Convergence Divergence Method uses standard settings with any time frame and any currency pairs. This method is used to CLOSE the position in the forex market. When the MACD lines crossover appears indicates the buying signal and when next MACD lines crossover occurs it indicates a selling signal.

A general guideline for testing a forex trading system with individual stock data is this - if you find the forex trading system to perform well with an individual stock data, returning profits consistently, you can have reasonable confidence that the same forex trading system will function as well for trading forex itself. If the forex trading system does not perform well with stocks and shares, the general understanding is that the system may not be robust enough for the volatility and velocity of trades inherent with trading forex.

Avoid Losing Your Home. Two Simple Foreclosure Solutions.

July 26, 2008 on 4:25 am | In Finance | No Comments
by Sean Roberts

If your bank or lender is threatening to take your home through foreclosure, you are no doubt looking for solutions to stop the foreclosure from happening. In this article, we are going to look at some simple things you can do to avoid losing your home through foreclosure.

You Can Live With These Two Simple Solutions

Several ways exist that you can use to stop foreclosure on your home from your bank, but the simple, first step to your foreclosure solution is to contact your bank or lender and talk to them. It is generally agreed that it is not in the lender’s best interests to foreclose on your home. Since it is likely that they will be stuck with the property for a while and come out of the process losing money, they are more apt to help you find a solution to your foreclosure problem. By doing so, you can keep your home and the lender can keep receiving payments without losing money on their investment.

After contacting your bank or lender, they may give you the option to refinance your mortgage balance at a reduced interest rate. This option to refinance at a lower rate could also effectively lower your monthly mortgage payment. This can certainly help you regain control of your monthly budget, and at the same time put you back on good footing with the lender. By the way, a refinanced loan is a new loan that begins all over again with a fresh start. You may even find that your first payment may be delayed a month or two as the loan is going through the processing. Another feature of the refinance, depending on your equity, is that the lender likely will allow you to ‘roll’ any late payments and fees into the new loan amount so you start with a new home loan that is current.

In addition to starting fresh again and on good terms with your lender, if you are able to get a lower interest rate, your payments likely will go down. That is even presuming you keep the same loan term you had originally. If you had the option of a longer term, then your payments could be even less, although there are reasons a longer term is not a good idea. While the lower monthly mortgage payments appear to be great, less of your payment is going toward equity and more is going toward interest which could prove to be detrimental to you in the long run. However, if the bank is on your back, either option is one of the foreclosure solutions that can help you get back on track financially.

Another choice, and far less appealing option in most cases, is to sell your home. For the most part this can be very difficult as it will put a lot of pressure on you, your family and the bank as well. The bank will become very leery of you if it looks like you are trying to bail out on the loan. Additionally, there are many fees associated with selling a home so the actual sales price will not be the amount of money you receive.

At the end of the day, the best foreclosure solutions are the ones that keep you paying on your current loan. If you can find a way to get caught up and get back on track, that is always the best way. Taking a second job or finding a way to work from home when you can are good options while you try to get ahead of the mortgage curve.

Save Money By Purchasing Groceries In Bulk

July 26, 2008 on 3:38 am | In Family | No Comments
by Judy Turner

Although buying in bulk is a great way to save money it seems to have been somewhat forgotten. There are so many good reasons to shop this way that its astounding more people aren’t doing it regularly. Most large towns and cities have some form of bulk grocery store or wholesale club. You may be charged a membership fee but it is usually reasonable. Quite often a membership pays for itself with the first shopping expedition.

If you take the time to compare prices of products on the regular grocery shelf with products from a bulk store, you will certainly see a viable difference in cost. For example, purchasing a bulk sized package of toilet paper will save you substantially over buying a single roll or even a 4 pack from the grocery store. You can save even more money if the bulk items are on sale.

There are definitely certain types of food and household products that are the most beneficial to purchase in bulk. Paper products, soap and anything with a long shelf life are always good buys. The items that you go through daily are the ones that you spend the most money on. Many people may not find meat or other fresh products to be a worthy bulk investment. The truth is that anything that can go into the freezer is a good choice. Consider purchasing a large freezer and you will find that it pays for itself rather quickly.

Most certainly there are some products that are not recommended for acquiring in bulk. Perishable items that don’t freeze well should be purchased in smaller quantities. Check for sales and plan your meals accordingly around these items to use them up quickly.

Many families find themselves running to the grocery store way too often. If you find yourself constantly stopping at the store in between shopping trips then that is your first indicator that buying in bulk may be best for you. Buying large quantities and breaking them into smaller ones will save you money and the time it takes to stop at the store frequently. Try to plan your menus in advance to avoid getting into a rut.

With the rising costs of oil and gasoline, saving time also equates to saving gas. If you take fewer trips to the store for meal items and buy more at one time, the need to run out for groceries will be less frequent. This certainly means less gas use. Making grocery purchases in bulk is effective in cutting a variety of costs. Consider the ways it can help your family save time and money that can be better spent in other ways.

Learn About Bankruptcy Mortgage Refinancing

July 26, 2008 on 3:33 am | In Home | No Comments
by Ray Lam

If you are a homeowner with a recent bankruptcy and have been putting off mortgage refinancing, a new mortgage loan could help you rebuild your credit. It is much easier today to get approved with a recent bankruptcy than in previous years; however, it will take some work on your part to avoid overpaying for the loan. Here are several tips to help you avoid overpaying when mortgage refinancing after bankruptcy.

The mortgage industry is extremely competitive; this means there are opportunities available to you that did not exist ten years ago. Having a recent bankruptcy no longer prevents you from refinancing your mortgage; however, the amount you pay depends on how savvy a shopper you are. Online search makes it easy to compare loan offers from a variety of different lenders.

The Internet is an excellent resource when mortgage refinancing after bankruptcy. You can quickly research mortgage refinancing interest rates from dozens of national mortgage companies. Don’t stop at the mortgage rate, request Good Faith Estimates from each lender you are considering to perform a line-by-line comparison of each mortgage refinancing offer.

Because you can expect to pay a higher interest rate when mortgage refinancing after bankruptcy, it is important to avoid paying any retail markup of this loan. Mortgage companies routinely markup the interest rate you qualify to boost their revenues. This markup by the retail mortgage company is called Yield Spread Premium and results in paying thousands of dollars in unnecessary interest each year.

Getting approved for a new mortgage isn’t hard; the hard part is finding a good mortgage offer. Researching mortgage lenders and comparing a variety of mortgage offers will help you find the most competitive interest rates. When shopping for a mortgage compare all aspects of the loan offers: interest rates, annual percentage rate, lender fees, and closing costs all need to be carefully scrutinized before accepting a loan offer.
