Bridal Shower Fun Food
May 11, 2008 on 4:31 am | In Home | No CommentsThere’s so much you can have where food is concerned for a bridal shower and so much that you can’t. So the easiest thing to do is to get what you can’t have out of the way. The bride comes first so knock off whatever she can’t or won’t have. Then cut out anything that could cause allergies, just in case somehow has some kind of food allergy. You could also check discreetly and find out if any of the guests do have any food allergies and if so, what they need to avoid.
This is where the fun comes in. You will already have chosen a theme for the bridal shower. Try and fit some tasty dishes around it. Having a brunch party is a great idea. If you hold it on a Sunday it can stretch into a lovely, long, lazy afternoon. Try to make it informal as this will encourage guests to mingle more. In a corner you can have a table serving fresh breads and another table with fresh fruits. One good idea is to serve mini quiche. On one side of the room you could have your drinks table serving punch and cocktails. Remember to also serve fruit juices and coffee, too. Fruit based desserts are always popular. Some chocolate coated strawberries or lemon squares could go down well.
If an evening shower is preferable, then a casserole is perfect. You can mingle whilst it is cooking. Better still. a casserole can be prepared beforehand. All you need to do is to heat and serve. Another idea is lasagna, served up with a bowl of green salad. Food like this is great for an evening do as it can be made up earlier in the day. It means you’re not stuck in the kitchen as your guests arrrive. If that is too heavy a meal then a smoked or grilled dish can be served. It only takes an occasional peek in the kitchen whilst it is cooking.
Do try and find out before the party if anyone is a vegan or a vegetarian so that you can serve up food to suit them too. For a casserole or lasagna, all you need to do is make a vegetarian option as well and you could also check the Internet for recipes.
Cake is traditionally served as a dessert at a bridal shower. Many people today though are moving away from tradition so feel free to break away and have something different as a dessert. You could consider offering pies or fresh fruit. What about a chocolate fountain as a centerpiece. These can be easily rented for the evening.
Finger food may be preferred as a lighter alternative. A table laid out with light bites is a great idea. People can just walk up and help themselves and still be able to converse with the other guests. Things like crackers and cheese or dips and tiny muffins are a good choice.
The choice is yours - and of course the bride’s but choosing the food well could mean a great bridal or wedding shower.
Clear Outstanding Debts With An Emergency Debt Relief Program
May 11, 2008 on 4:15 am | In Finance | No CommentsFinally admitting that you have a debt problem is the first step required if you want to overcome a problem shared by many people around the world. One way out of the predicament is the use of lenders that specialize in emergency debt relief by consolidating loans into one much more manageable loan. It is their job to help clear debts and this couldn’t be simpler if just one loan is then in force and only one payment made every month as interest rates are on the increase.
It is important to address the money problem before it escalates out of control, damaging your credit history and possibly leading to bankruptcy as well. Most people that now find themselves in this situation have probably lost control of their spending and now emergency debt relief is the only real option available to them. Rising interest rates can also cause this situation where previously the debts were able to be paid comfortably.
An emergency debt relief program can ensure you get out of your predicament quickly by using the services of agencies and programs designed for people who have serious financial problems. Courses are also run for people in financial trouble to help them deal with their finances in the future by enabling them to set themselves financial targets that are more realistic. To help the person with money problems, debt relief program counselors also negotiate payment terms with creditors so payments can be made regularly that will not be defaulted on; this allows the debtor to repay his loans and credit cards without further problems.
To ensure that a person’s details are not sold to non-authorized companies and organizations, each state is governed by a fraud act which forbids divulging personal information. Despite the emergency debt relief assistance this is still going to be a challenge but with a little luck the financial problems will be solved in the end. Probably one of the hardest aspects of debt relief is canceling the credit card; try to find one that offers a lower rate of interest and paying for goods with cash, and then if the cash isn’t available, the purchase will have to wait.
Everyone knows how much their payments are in addition to how much they earn per month so wherever possible, pay more than just the minimum required; not forgetting to pay bills early and not until the last minute. The easiest way to do this is cancel all but one of your credit cards which will then ensure the payments are reduced each month and if you are honest, you only need the one card. It could take up to five years to repay your debts which obviously depend on individual circumstances but think how good you will feel hen this finally happens!
